Looking for opinions on towing a gooseneck with a short bed Ford. Will a standard adapter do it or do I need to look for one with an extension? Camper is a 2015 3715BHS.

I tow my 2015 hemisphere 356 QBQ with a goose neck adapter on my 2000 F 250 crew cab short bed and it works great for me. I can turn the truck 90 degrees and clears the cab but only by a couple inches in a full turn. You just have to watch it. It doesn't make any of the noises I hear people talking about with 5th wheel hitches. Before I got the camper Ihave been towing live stock trailers and a flat bed so I didn't want to change hitches and cut more holes otherwise I would have prob had the fifth wheel.
It is a 15" adaptor that attaches directly to the fifth wheel pin. I don't have a pic of it on the camper because it is in the storage shed about 10 miles away but here is a pic of the install sheet and the truck hitch.
If you have the ball plate from reese that goes on rails you can turn it around to give you more clearance. Because on the plate the ball is welded in off set from center. On my 8 foot box I used it with the ball closer to the cab. Just a thought.
