Gooseneck conversion

Anyone have experience with these guys:
Executive Fifth-Wheel Gooseneck Conversion (Torsion-Flex).

Looking to switch to a gooseneck for my chaparral 295x

I called Reese to see if their goosebox would work, but they said not with my ramboxes on my truck. These guys said it would work, I've just next heard of them.

Thoughts, opinions?

There have been a few threads about it lately. Search for Gen-Y and you should find a few posts. All the reports have been positive so far.

I believe a buddy of mine just switched to it. He has a long bed dually, so I can't help you with the short bed + rambox aspect.

If you want, we're camped at the same campground and I can take some pictures.

Here's what he posted to a Facebook group that we're both in:

Quote:
It is BEEFY, lol. It weighs in at about 180lbs.

Here are the things not included with it, you get no new bolts, no chains, no hooks.
I bought 5/8 11 x 2.5in grade 8 bolts, nuts, lockwashers. I did reuse the factory self locking washers because they have teeth that I thought was useful. That is the size of the holes on the trailer and hitch.
The chain is a 6.5 foot grade 70, 3/8 section connected to 2 grade 70 hooks with locks. I ran a single piece of chain for strength.

Can he go full 90? Any way to measure the distance to the top side rail? Mine is narrower than his.

KSH did you ever find out if the Gen-Y Executive hitch would work with the Ramboxs. I too have a a Rambox bed on a 2019 Ram 3500 and would like to get that heavy B&W Companion out of the bed of my truck.

What is the advantage to switching? Not having a huge hitch assembly in your bed?

Had a nice conversation with Jason this morning and I put in an order for the Executive 5th wheel king pin to gooseneck hitch. They are shipping it out to me today *Free Shipping*. I'm going to be the test fit for Rambox truck bed. Should be here Thursday. I'll going to take lots of pictures from ever angle. He also told that if it doesn't work they will give me a full refund and pay from the shipping back to them.

So today was the day...at least I thought I was going to be. Man was I excited when I got the call that the UPS delivery guy was 15 minutes away. I get home get the box off the truck and on to my truck and ready to get down to business. open the box and what do I see👀 but the wrong damn hitch🥺. In the rush to get it here they sent me the king pin hitch. I spoke with Jason and they are going make it right. Hopefully I'll have the right hitch Saturday so I can use it on my trip to Louisiana Sunday
