Got a new truck!

Excited to say that we went out and got a new truck to replace our mini truck (2011 Ford Ranger). We ended up getting a 2013 Ford F150 v8 5.0 4x4 supercab. Bit of a step up from the Ranger. Now some may remember when I first joined this forum and was trying to sort out what I could pull with the Ranger. I just want to be clear that the pulling the trailer thing wasn't the reason we stepped up to a bigger truck (though more towing isn't going to be a bad thing).

My wife has never been a fan of the sideways facing seats in the back of the Ranger. So she didn't like out son sitting back there. I agree with her as well. I think it is okay in a pinch, but to have him there as a regular thing wasn't good. Plus he is getting bigger and there isn't much room back there. We have a trailer that is 3,700 lbs (from the door sticker) and the Ranger did pull it no trouble for the places we would be going. There was one time when I was on a main hwy with full wind and rain where it had to work a bit more to keep pace.

Now with the new truck and safer seating (plus towing power) my wife is actually looking at going Stateside with it on some trips!

Alright . See if this works. Think I have it as an attachment here.

I will get a combo picture in the spring with the trailer.

Nice looking truck, rycej! Like the running boards and tonneau cover, that should keep the snow out.

I've had a "Scab" since '09 and have found it perfect for me - comfortable & convenient without losing bed length. Enjoy!!
