I do wipe the brackets and bars down after towing with the greasy rag I've used to keep them clean. But the amount of grease on that friction point is negligible.

When the hitch makes noise it means it is working.

Definitely do not grease the friction bar, as that is your sway control. Grease only where the bar connects to the hitch. Clean off the grease from the friction bar other areas, Dawn dish liquid would do well.

Blue Ox is not a friction based hitch. Most if not all spring bars need grease at the hitch head, but not where they meet with trailer A frame.

My WDH has grease fittings, so I grease it, never had a problem with sway.

I knew you good people would have the answer.
I am not losing my mind hehehe, I DID read somewhere NOT to grease the friction point on the bars.
Done. Grease cleaned from the sway bars.
Thank you Rockfordroo for the link.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU for your knowledge

That being said, Equalizer does make these for the L-brackets:

They're called Sway Bracket Jackets. I have a set and they quiet the hitch down very well.
Equalizer does note these will reduce the friction and sway control and should be used if you have severe swat issues. I use them on mine, albeit overpriced.

See figure #23 on pg 23 of the attached PDF.

UPDATE:

The E2 manual also says to lubricate. See Step 10, fig 19, page 21.

I smiled when I read the part " Do not tow your trailer on rough roads". Guess they would have frowned on our Arctic Ocean trip with 1600miles of gravel road last summer! 😄
