Question Hauling Vehicle

Hello All,

I have a 2003 Starcraft Starlite. On the vehicle registration it GVWR is 3500 but my title lists it at 7100 lbs. Which one is right? I have a stabilizer installed on my hitch. Is my 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT with a V8 4.7 big enough to haul it? It does not have the tow package.

If my Dakota is not big enough what should I use to haul it? I am not brand specific.

since your trailer is not made by Forest River, don't think many here will know much about it.
you could call Starcraft to get the right specs, if you give them the VIN.

your numbers sound screwed up. and since you don't list which model it is, there's not much anyone can do to help, without that. there were 6 different Starlite models in 2003.
their bogus "dry" weights range from 4129lbs. to 5336lbs.
so, the 7100 number sounds like the legitimate GVWR.

lastly, depending on which model you have, your Dakota could be overmatched.
you need to provide more info on it: 2x4 or 4x4, rear end ratio, bed size, factory tow package or not.
