Help!!!

We are to leave on a 5 week trip in the morning. We moved the travel trailer scerosis the road with no problem, well there is the problem of mice, and tonight we were hooking it back up in preparation to leave first thing in the AM and.......the electric jack will not work. We changed the fuse and it proceeded to blow 3 fuses with an active spark. Then the bolt on the manual crank part broke, and we cannot get the TT cranked up to connect to the truck.
HELP!!!!!!!!! I really hope someone is online currently with problem solving ideas. Thank-you

So, our problem solving has moved us to call around and find a new power jack and install it ourselves. Any suggestions on a replacement? We currently have a LCI.

Hello,
I used a 1/2 inch drill on low speed to run as manual jack backup. I just cut the one jack arm off and chucked it in the drill. Worked great. You can use a 1/2 square drive impact wrench and socket as well.

Use a bottle or floor jack, carefully, to lift the trailer onto the truck hitch ball. Then, grab a new power jack when on the road and fix at setup. Should be easy. Good luck

^ X2. I would also figure out where the short is in the wiring. Clearly there is a short between the jack and the battery that is causing the spark and blown fuse.
