I just need to get my facts straight before I tell my wife I "need" a dually F-350......gulp!

Tongue weight is for travel trailers. On a fifth wheel, the hitch weight or pin weight goes in the bed. There, you have to see how much carrying capacity your truck has. Remember, the numbers in the book tend to go up when you load, so that 1817lbs could be more like 2100 when you are camp ready.
Remember, when you figure out how much pin weight your truck can handle, don't forget other passengers, pets, tools, firewood, generators, etc etc.
