Help! New truck too high for 5'ver!
I just got a 2014 Ram 2500 4wd. It sits a few inches higher than my Ol' Ford. The bed rails are about even with the 5'ver bottom now. I need to raise it up to get my clearance. I'm not married to this trailer so it did not alter my choice in buying the truck. So anybody got any ideas on gaining a few in inches or do I need to trade the trailer in? I have tandem torsion axles.

How about lowering the truck? I think all Dodge trucks sit too high.
You can buy riser kits for the 5er or make your own.

Are the landing legs extended all the way?
The 2500 will squat some when you are hooked up.

The landing legs aren't out all the way but it is sitting level.
I was thinking a 4" lift to the trailer since I was counting on the truck squatting some.

I think he is referring to towing with the truck sitting so high, not hooking up.

See how much squat you get hooking up. Then look at Torflex lift kits.

Have you cheked out the Cummins diesel forum yet? Lots of good info there. Quite a few members are leveling their trucks. Maybe that would help. I just had to have a 10.5'' drop bracket fabbed up so I could get my Windjammer to sit level. The new Rams are a beast.

I ordered my Reese Rail kit adapter for the truck last night. Be here in a week. Will get it on, hook it up, and go from there.

Just an update. When I ordered the adapter, a couple days later I got an email saying it was on back order and will be here by the end of July. I emailed them yesterday and now they said Reese has pushed their delivery dates to mid to late August.

I'm partial to B&W...made in USA too. I'd be surprised if they would be on backorder. B & W Trailer Hitches | Trailer, Tow & Truck Hitches

Don't know the answer to that. Call them on Monday. I've talked to them a couple of times and they are always more than willing to help.
