Hensley Arrow: Guess what the problem is

Im just going to leave this picture here for speculation. I will address each "guess" as to whats going on as the thread progresses...

TV is a 2016 Ram 2500
TT is a 2016 Solaire 317bhsk

The only information I am going to divulge is this picture was taken after a 40' jaunt down my driveway going forward.

Only cause this is where's Waldo.... Seams like a big camper like that should have had an electric hitch ( maybe then one would be more willing to retrieve Jack entirely ) love what I've herd about the Hensley so far ( not including price) but since TV is a 2500 was it worth the expence?
That said we all make mistakes, sounds like this one is result of Jack pounding pavement??? If not please advise as myself included would apreciate any and all info about a product such as this before spending that amount of Green....

Looks normal for the start of a turn. That's how mine looks.

I must conclude that you are in the "jack hit the driveway" camp with the ambiguity of your guess.

But we all know what "they" say about assumptions....

Surprisingly the manufacturer rated dry tongue weight is only 650 pounds or so. Axles are set, what appear to me, a bit more forward than other TT I have seen. Prior to picking the TT up, I was all set to replace the manual jack with a power jack.... But I'm not that lazy, yet. Still capable of manually raising and lowering the jack.

I must also conclude that folks failing to completely raise a jack is fairly commonplace? I turned 42 this year, Ive been pulling trailers or all sorts since I was 16. I have held a Class A CDL for almost 22 years. I have NEVER had a "jack hit the pavement" incident.

Unfortunately I can not offer any long term advice on the Hensley, so far all Ive done is pull it home. I am currently in the process of upgrading the 12v system prior to putting the trailer into service.

But to answer your question.... I invested in the Hensley not for the weight distribution... The Ram can handle the tongue weight. I invested in it for the sway control. My wife and kids are worth more to me than a standard sway control system and this is a long trailer. Also, and this is a benefit I did not realize until I brought the trailer home. We have a turnaround/parking are up near the house. Its almost not big enough to turn the truck around in sans trailer. I was all set to unhitch and use my tractor to maneuver the TT into its resting spot. The added turning ability the hitch adds allowed me to turn the TT around in the same area that is just a bit big enough to turn the truck around in. AND there is a tree right in the middle of the parking area. That alone is worth its weight....

That is the most common guess and one I would also make upon first glance.

Picture was taken after driving, forward, 40' (give or take) straight up my driveway. Truck and trailer are in line with one another.
