Question Hi from Michigan

I just purchased a 2014 Rockwell Mini Lite 22' w/slide, weight 3780 lb. Tow vehicle is 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Travel Trailer came with BLUE OX weight distribution hitch but no sway bar. I already have a sufficent hitch w/sway bar to tow this size trailer. Problem is the BLUE OX is extremely heavy to use (I'm a glamper girl), where as the hitch I already have, along with the sway bar, was sufficent for towing a 3750 lb Skyline Travel Trailer. I've never used a weight distribution hitch. Is is really necessary to have the weight distribution for this size trailer being pulled with the Jeep?
Thanks for any input.

jeeps have a very short wheel base. for a short local trip I may not but any significant high way travel I most def would have it and use it.
