Each car has 40 springs. They have coil inside coil x 5 on each side of the truck, and each coil is made from 2" diameter steel.

Yeah I don't get the coil spring bashing. It's a spring. You build them for whatever load you want them to carry.

I'm just pointing out there are a lot more and larger coil springs on a railroad car than a Ram truck. Just think of the amazing payload the pickup would have if they were the same.

I just passed 76,000 miles on my '14 RAM Big Horn with same gearing...

I luv my truck... gets good mileage usually 20 MPG on the highway and pretty good around town... 15-16. Towing I get about 9.
