Just picked up new truck today. Looking to buy a cedar creek 36ckts. Truck is a f350 dually long bed. Need advice on what hitch to buy. Never pulled a 5er before

I love my anderson ultimate with my short bed truck because it replaces heavy expensive slider hitches. It's light weight and easily removes leaving me my bed to haul stuff. With your long bed I'm sure just about any hitch will do. Personal preference on brand for sure.

If you need the bed of your truck often factor weight and ease of removal.

B&W. Love ours. Easy to remove and install, easy assured connection when hooking up.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. A good share of the folks around here run the B&W hitch

Love my B&W... only downfall is it's heavy to lug in and out.

Whatever you choose Pull-rite, Anderson, and B&W make there hitches in the grand old USA.... Curt & Reese are made in China.

Make sure that whatever you buy it has the two hooks that wrap around the pin and not a slide bar that slides in behind the pin. Also get the size one larger than what you think you need, saves buying a larger hitch later.

I see that the 36 ckts has a listed pin weight of 2500 lbs and a gawr of 16,500, so if you are not full timing and are like most of us, you're pin weight will probably be a little over 3000 and a towing weight of 15,000 +/-.
My trailer is a little smaller at 13,500 lbs and a pin weight of about 2600. I tow with an F350 SRW short bed truck. I had a B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch installed in the truck. Then I replaced the stock pinbox with a Reese Gooseball. It uses the fifth airborne technology that has dual shock absorbers and an airbag in the pinbox. It locks up tight to the truck, and the chucking caused by highway expansion joints has virtually disappeared. This hitch setup is the most user friendly hitch I've ever owned, and there is nothing that I have to pickup to clear my truck bed except for the turnover ball itself which is maybe 10 lbs. I've used this for a couple of years now, and would absolutely buy it again. As a matter of fact, I took the old pinbox and stored it so that if I ever trade trailers again, I can reinstall it and keep the gooseball hitch.

Good luck with whatever you choose.
