Hitch ball

The ball I have is 2 5/8. I can't find my manual just now but I believe that is what is stated there and is the ball on the anti sway hitch I have. I needed to move the trailer from storage lot to my house and had to buy a ball and bar at the store. They only had a multi bar with the biggest size 2 5/16. It got me home and was much easier to hook up. Is this safe or was I taking a big chance. Thanks

The right size ball for most travel trailer is 2 5/16, never heard or seen a 2 5/8 hitch ball...

Are you sure of this. Most RV's are 2 and 5/16th. Not sure I have heard of a 2 and 5/8th.

Unsafe at any speed. I would not recommend you do that again.

I'm with the other two, 2 5/8 would be a non standard size. 2 5/16 is standard.

I have seen and used the 3 common ones 1 7/8, 2 , 2 5/16 never heard of a 2 5/8 . Have heard of a 3 inch ball. But I don`t claim to know everything.
