Hitch for 2013 GMC 2500HD (TT)

I am going to be picking up my new TT this weekend and need to make a decision on a hitch. My truck is a 2013 GMC Denali 2500HD with a 6" lift. My TT is 37' total and weights just under 9500 lbs (UVW). The dealer has a couple options for me. A Husky W/D hitch or for twice as much money an Anderson No Sway W/D. The Anderson hitch looks very nice, but has created quite the controversy on message boards. Is it effective and worth the extra cost? The Anti-sway is nice, but as long as it is still effective at goal #1- W/D. Any help would be great, thanks

If your dealer is like most other local dealers out there, they are charging the heck out of you for hitches. You can get the Equalizer 4 point from RVWholesalers with free shipping at a much better price than many. Also, you need to make sure they(your dealer) aren't trying to sell you a 10K hitch. You need a 14K hitch for the amount of weight you have, IMO. I would consider the Anderson on a small trailer, but accounts I read seem to indicate that you cannot get enough weight transfer for large/heavy trailers.

I have a 35 +' trailer @ 9000 pounds and Ford 250
I went with the Husky ,12000 spring bars and double sway bars.
Many trips on the highway at 100km/h (60m/h)...stable, no problem , and low cost !

I have a have a 2013 2500HD sierra and 100,000 plus miles on our Equalizer 4 point Hitch (10,000lb ) with 35' trailers 9000-10,000 lbs. It has been great and keeps a real solid feel while towing.
