Hitch for 2015 F350 long bed

We are buying our first 5th wheel (Cedar Creek Silverback 29IK) and need a hitch for our F350. We're looking at a B&W companion. What do other F350 owners use/or recommend? Thanks for your input!

Have F 250, Use Reese underbed puck system. Makes the the truck usable for other than towing.

I use the B&W Companion with the factory pucks on my F-350. I love it!
It is really easy to take out and put back in and since it can be split into two sections with the handles, each piece is light enough for one person to lift.

I have the brother to your 29IK, and it's a nice camper. You will enjoy it. As to your hitch, allow me to throw out a great option especially if you already have a B&W turnoverball. (Which is a great hitch by the way). Install a Reese Goosebox on the Silverback. It has the Fifth Airborne technology built in, and it is the nicest, softest towing setup I've ever used bar none. Other conventional setups have given me nothing but trouble and tons of chucking on the interstates. With the Goosebox, you have one solid connection which is buffered by that airbag/shock absorber fixture and the best price is at Amazon.
There are other good hitches out there. I have tried many of them. When I trade campers in the future, it will have another Goosebox. Good luck with whatever you choose to do......and have fun!

B&W would be best choice, Curt would be a close second

Either the Hensley Trailsaver BD3 or TS3. I have the TS3 and love it. Wouldn't go back to static hitch again ever.

I have a 2008 F350 and the Curt Q20. A little over kill for my Columbus RS320 but well worth the money. Duel locking jaws an a 360 degree rotating head.

What a diverse opinion on hitches. I throw my hat in for the Andersen Ultimate Aluminum hitch. Light, strong, quiet, works with B&W ball over, great price.

I have the B&W 25K for my Sierra 360PDEK. My F350 dually was equipped with the hitch ready package. Everything works great and the 5r tows great. Reese makes the Ford Private label fifth wheel accessory hitch. I have looked t several different options and spoken to several F350 owners. The mystery mechanical hitches may work fine but I saw no reason to spend large sums they were asking.

If I was going to do it over again, I would most likely go the same route as I went the first time, Curt Q20. For the money, I find it hard to beat. There is never a doubt that it's locked when hitched. The other hitches are nice, but I don't see the difference per dollar spent in the static (non air ride) type hitches. If a clean bed is a priority, and you don't have the puck system, the B&W I think would be the way to go. I installed rails in my GMC and cut the bedliner around them, so it basically made a flat surface when putting something in the bed. If going to an air ride system, I looked long and hard at the Air Safe hitches.

Smile B&W Companion by all means

When I purchased my 2016 F350 I went from a Husky to the B&W Companion hitch and although I haven't tried any others I think this hitch is superb. It is light weight, 2 pieces at about 75lbs each and easy to take off and install (about 20 minutes if you are a slow poke like me). Wish I had used this hitch from the beginning. You won't look back and regret it.

We like the idea of 2 pieces. Much easier on the back.

F-350 and hitch

B+W is the best love mine, RCV3200 easy to install easy to remove. Make sure the clearance to the bed is 6" or better. F-350 6.4 diesel truck don't like pulling, mine breaks every trip and is in the shop now with reduced engine power and they cant fix it. Good luck!

I would venture to say that the base of my B&W Companion weights about 75lbs but the top half weights closer to 50lbs, maybe even a little less. Honestly, the nicest thing about the B&W hitch is the large rubber bushings that really reduce any vibration, chucking, and soften the ride significantly. Very nice!

2011-1/2 through 2016 6.7 Engines are the best you'll find. This is my second 6.7L (First was a 2011) and I LOVE towing with it.

Towing

We have a 6.7 Diesel -it's awesome! We pulled a 33' Wildwood from Colorado to Glacier Park last year like nothing was there. We don't expect any problem with the 5th wheel when we go this summer.
