My Equalizer has only one pin hole and I've always thought it put the hitch too far from the truck but everything seems to work well.

My Reese shank puts it too far back for my liking too. However it does resolve the issue I had hitching and in-hitching. My jeep has a rear mounted spare and the standard bar I had before adding WDH didn't extend far enough to easily operate the hitch latch. Actually pinched my hand between the spare tire and hitch latch once. Luckily it didn't trip the web of skin between my thumb and index finger.
