Obviously your vehicle and trailer are of no comparison in the situation.

I have a Ram 2500 with the 5.7 and 4.10 gears. Not towing I get 16-17, towing between 9.5 and 12 depending on the hills. The 9.5 was up to Big Bear, CA all uphill. Normally towing I get closer to 12. Trailer is about 8,500-9,000 depending on how it's loaded.

17 to 18 mpg on normal driving, ave of 10 while towing. It made no difference from when we went from the 6,000lb mini lite to the Grey Wolf at 9500lbs or so.

What does the tow/haul mode do? I know it winds the gears out more during shifting but does it do anything else?

Wow, I wish I got that kind of mileage. You have the 4.10 rear also?

Pop up's do tow nice and easy.

I am running 3.73's. The empty highway mileage was a pleasant surprise to me as I was expecting 16-17.

No BS and MPG. We tow every year to Indianapolis and we got between 15-20 depending on the area (around NY with the hills we saw down around 15, but out west where it was flatter, we saw 20). Our TV is a 2013 VW Touareg TDI and the camper is a 24HFS.
