I tow with mine the majority of the time. Probably 4000-5000 miles between DEF fill-ups.

I have about 1800 miles of mixed city / highway / towing. The DEF gauge still reads full but from what I read on the Dodge forums they do that till about 1/2 tank of DEF and from there drop like a rock.

Hard to know for sure. My 2015 GMC 2500 was under GM's free 2 year maintenance and when I did the 4 free oil changes they topped off the DEF tank for free also. I think I've purchase 6 2.5gal bottles at Walmart. Total miles to date is 29,830 and the DEF was topped off just before I got home. If I had to guess, it probably uses about a gallon every 800-1000 miles. I buy the $8.87 Walmart brand or the Pilot J bulk ($2.90 gal.) and that works out to about 1/3 to 1/2 cent a mile.

I found out that my GM dealer was not topping off my DEF tank during my free oil changes. He was only adding 2 gallons when my tank reading was about 20% so he should have been adding about 4 gallons at that point. When I confronted him about it he gave me 2 additional gallons. I think they were trying to save themselves some money by only adding just 2 gallons and not topping it off.

I have a 2014 Ram. Last time I figured I used about 1 gallon to 700 miles in everyday driving. Love the gauge Ram puts in their trucks

While in Texas I traded the gaser for a 2015 chev duramax and since then I have put 4000 miles on it (half with a 36' trailer) and when I went to top it off it would only take 2.5 gallons.

I have a 2015 with 30,000 km and have never filled the DEF tank. Its part of free service from the dealer. It only regions every 800 km even when towing. The newer diesel use fuel to kick the temp up more and use less DEF. Strictly Stock engine.
