How to reset oil change light?

My oil change light came on at +-11500kms and so I did it at 12000kms like the Dodge book says. I have now done 17000kms and the light is on again! I have not driven any differently to the first 11500 so I am not doing a oil change every 5000kms the Dodge book says next change at 24000kms How do I reset the light to stop reminding me everytime i get in the truck?

Its a 2011 cummins, by the way

Advice appreciated

*Turn the key to the run position (don't start)
*Fully depress the gas pedal slowly down 3 times within 10 seconds.
*Turn the key to he off/lock position.
