Took the new TV and TT to the scales on their first trip of the year. Here are the numbers:

#1 TV w WDH
Steer - 3,560
Drive - 3,840
TA - 6,300
Gross - 13,700

#2 TV w/o WDH
Steer - 3,380
Drive - 4,100
TA - 6,200
Gross - 13,680

#3 TV and TT separate
Steer - 3,820
Drive - 2,780
TA - 7,080
Gross - 13,680

TV specs - GVWR - 7,600
Front axle 3,950
Rear axle 4,300
GCWR - 16,700
Max Tow - 10,900
5.3L, 3.73 gears

TT specs - GVWR - 7,600
tongue weight (per scale) - 880
TWP - 12.4%

All weights are within spec and it tows very well. Should I do anything else to adjust the WDH to put more back on the steer axle? If I adjust the bars, will I put more than the 260lbs on the front and be over. Is it a matter of trial by fire to see how much is transferred if I adjust it or is that close enough?

Looks pretty good to me. If the trailer is level or just slightly tongue down I would leave it be. I just installed the same brand hitch (1,200lb) I only have one trip on it so I can't help on how much one position on the bars will change.
Hopefully someone with more drive time on theirs will chime in.

IMHO, you need to get some more weight back on the steer axle with WDH.

You do not have enough weight transfer happening. Do not just go by feel and look. Go by the numbers.

Front axle weight w/o trailer = 3820. That is your target with the trailer hitched and WDH engaged.
But with everything hooked up, you are only at 3560, 260 lbs short of the target.

Some say the target is half-way between stock front loading, and hitched-w/o-WDH. I disagree. That's your minimum. You want to get as close to stock height as possible. If the limits of your WDH kit won't get you there, and you are at least half-way, so be it. But if you have the ability to transfer more weight, do it.
