[QUOTE=Kenny kustom;1263986]We just did a 450km trip up to riding mountain national park.

Hand calculated 12.5mpg.
24k lbs combined.

More than ecstatic with that result!

But where it would shine is the stability. There is no comparison between the 1/2 grocery getters and the HD 2500 / 3500 (or 250/350) trucks for stability and ease of towing.

Bigger engine and higher gearing than my 1/2 ton, so I wasn't really expecting any huge improvement. I was/am hoping there is some improvement from a 7 yr newer technology in the engine and a 6 speed vs 4 speed transmission. Time will tell.

Stability is much better, as you've stated.

I would not expect much. All I have seen online is the 9 to 10 towing and 14 to 16 not towing. I'll attest to the 16 not towing when I drove a 2500 gas for a week as a loaner. Thing drank the gas!
