Here's my boat launch story. I drove up to launch and find a guy standing on the launch looking at a very nice fiberglass walleye boat sitting on the (relatively steep) launch itself about 10' from the water.
He and I were the only ones there and I parked, walked up and asked what happened. Apparently, he got a new boat and was following his typical procedure of getting into position, unhooking the boat completely (including the winch strap and safety hook - Old School
) and backing down for float-on and float-off launching and loading.
Well... he says everything was going fine until he sees in his mirrors that the boat is moving faster than the truck. He stopped backing down and the boat completely rolled off the trailer.
He explained that his old trailers used bunks and his new one had rollers and he had forgotten
