I can't get the video to work, but I think I see how it works.
I love this sort of stuff!

I want one! When can I place an order? I can't hook up our trailer because I can't lift that hitch!

I use to just leave the bars on with them set like a wheel barrow and pick the whole think up. You learn where to grab it, close by the head, and it will balance perfectly.

But, i do need the work out.

I've been wondering - read wishing & hoping someone else could build it - about a modified system described above so that it would lift the hitch and its box up to the tailgate so I could just slide the whole thing in to store it in my lockable pickup bed. Of course it must be able to retrieve it and lower it etc. It would beat the lift with the Hitchgrip. There is always a front end loader as suggested elsewhere on these forums. But can a front end loader fit in the TT Toy Hauler with the bike.
Tmhudg you did a great job. I'll have to put rebuilding my rough box on my todo list now.

My oldest son, Mardy, and I built several car lifts that was powered by a 12v battery that would lift a dwarf car or a NASCAR truck 24". It could be modified to lift higher if needed.

The plans could be altered to a smaller platform for a 5th wheel hich and a higher lift with 4 wheels. Pretty simple design and easy to fab. Just a Harbor Freight winch and some pulleys.
