I'm trying to find Bilsteins HD locally but not having any luck. doesn't anybody stock shocks anymore? I remember when you could go anytime to a auto parts store and buy just about anything on the spot. This, We have to order, is BS. I'm getting frustrated.

I usually buy from shockwarehouse.com, good pricing & shipping...if you're willing to buy online.

it's now basically my only choice, nobody locally has shocks for my truck. I've called, visited about everybody local. none available, not even at either local Toyota dealer. They all have to order even OEM shocks.

Oh, well, Internet prices are somewhat cheaper, and free sipping. Can't say I didn't try to support the local economy.

Bilsteins HD are on order. $151 shipped. Much better than the $108 each from Toyota and a better shock.

Not many parts suppliers stock a wide range of parts like they used to. Especially for custom upgrade items like shocks. Shops can typically get the items shipped in a day or 2 from a centralized supplier or warehouse. My BIL owns an auto parts shop and doesn't stock much other than the common items for maintenance/repair. It's too expensive to maintain a large stock of parts if you don't have a good turnover rate.

If you only paid $151 for a set of 4 Bilsteins, I'd say that's a smokin' deal and about 1/2 of what I would have expected.

I only got 2 HD truck shocks for the rear. I don't need fronts yet.
