Aha, that's why. I don't think it's a good idea to replace only one set tho. Some experts here may have more to say on this.

I talked to a mechanic friend, he said its ok, if I'm not significantly changing the height, or going to extremely harsh shocks. Doing so would invite twisting on the framework and body. what do I know, I'm a relay tech not a mechanic. although I do stay at a Holiday Inn.

You may end with some weird ride motion and harmonics. Mixing brands of shocks tends to make one end of the vehicle behave differently than the other, and they can fight each other. You will probably not do any actual harm, nor is it truly unsafe, but may end up being truly annoying.

I have Firestone airbags if you're interested. I bought them for an '09 Tundra late last summer but ended up buying a new Diesel. If interested ~ $125

+1 got a great deal from 4wheelparts.com. they run specials like twice a year. I replaced all four, did a 2 inch level in the front and added the 1 ton rear leafs. Granted I am in a F250 Powerstroke, the ride was a great improvement.
