If all goes well I will have to figure out picture posting
We have been towing our 2008 Rockwood 8313SS with our 2001 F150 5.4. It has towed it well and has 225,000 miles on it.
We have been looking at a new to us TV to replace it. We considered a F250 but driving here in Atlanta and it would be a daily driver hauling the kids around the size was a concern. Plus we could not find one in our price range.
We have found a 2011 F150 6.2L with the max tow package that has 7700 miles on it. It is not the limited version. Payload is 1590 with GVWR of 7350.
If it is meant to be...it will be.
It will tow our camper, not as good as a F250 but better than the 2001.
Happy camping....

Well, apparently Ford has done away with the excellent towing guide that would show the year, engine, wheelbase, and other pertinent information.
The listed payload can be very misleading. Even though it reads as 1560 lbs., it is probably considerable less.....I know my F150 is. The 8313SS probably has somewhere around a 1000 lb. tongue weight. Hang that on the bumper, the family and camping gear in the truck, and you may be over that 7350 lb. GVWR. I am close to my GVWR with a 700 lb. tongue weight, 2 people and dog in the passenger compartment, and some gear in the bed.

The 1590 is on the door sticker not any window sticker or the general Ford specs.
6.2L V8 GCVW 17,100 Max loaded trailer weight 11,300
GVWR 7350 Payload 1590, this is from the actual truck.

Not sure if you have already purchased, but the payload number is considerably lower that the specs for a comparable 2013 F-150 with Max Tow. Maybe the payload numbers have increased significantly since 2011.
http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/specifications/payload/
Maybe check some 2012 models if possible in your price range?

If you still have the old truck, loading up like you were going camping and taking the truck + camper to the scales would be a good thing to do to see if you're going to be within capacity for your new truck.

Yes, be sure to post some photos when you get the newer truck. That 5.4 liter was a solid engine but from what I've heard that 6.2 liter is a beast of an engine. Have fun camping.

The day were were going to get the 2011 F150 6.2 we found a 2013 F250 6.2 Lariat with 3.73 rear axle. It actaully was cheaper than the 2011 F150 and it is brand spanking new. Love that smell. We are happy happy happy. We have not camped since last year and are so excited to see how this super duty tows that Rcokwood.

Yes, you will love pulling with that diesel. My wife and I were told that our toy hauler is 1/2 ton towable, but it was a real struggle. It was our first trailer purchase and didn't even think about going for a test drive. Our toy hauler is heavy on the hitch because the axles on toy haulers are back further than on a travel trailer. Something else we didn't know. The 1/2 ton was way too small. We are now able to enjoy and have a relaxing vacation like it is meant to with our new truck. We purposely went too big when we bought this one ton, but we see a fifth wheel trailer in our future.
