OC. Something wrong with the link. It is a post from 2008 not related to the cover.

Heads up about this cover. Under cover makes 2 models of covers for the same truck. One has rough finish with 2 locks (lock at each back corner). The other cover has smooth finish with one lock in the middle at the back and that one won't work to modify for the 5r hitch.

I think I've figured out a solution for removing the hitch from the bed of DH's truck, since we both have neck injuries and don't need to lift much weight.

Dad still has the "Hoyer Lift" that was Mom's during the 3 years she was home bound and bedridden before she passed.

It's a lot like an engine hoist and will handle up to 500 lbs.

That should git 'er done! We'll see.

I don't think we'll need to remove the hitch very often, but if we do......

Oh, and DH already has put the "Hensley Hitch" on his Christmas wish list for next year. Yanno, the one with the shocks on it.

It comes complete with sticker shock too.

Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection w/B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch

I had the Ford dealer install a (made in the USA) B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch. The RV dealer installed a (made in the USA) Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection hitch. I have a Reese Revolution on my 2014 Rockwood 8289

This is the web site with videos:
Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection

The maneuvering with turning and parking is easy and more than enough room between the cab and front the 5th wheel. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance of both products.

ya ya I know it hurts up front but then you feel the relief when you make your first long haul and they stay with the truck not the camper no matter what happens to the camper like hail or accidents. the second one isn't a Hensley btw and Hensley doesn't make one like the Omni....I like the Omni but found the one I have used for half the price so I jumped on it, literally now too and it would be well worth it new imo. but like I said just a thought, it's impressive as to how much stress it relieves from the upper deck frame work of the camper and you back side in the tv. lol
