Okey then. My superglide doesn't help as it weighs a lot. My spare must weight 60 or more lbs and if I take it out of the truck and put on the bumper hanger that it was on that would change things by 100 lbs. The back of my camper is pretty light. And all the xtra weight is toward the front in the storage compartment.

I can see some mods coming.. Maybe a diamond plate box on the back platform with generator and stuff in it

Well, we weighed on the way to Cape May.
To say I was shocked (again) is an understatement.

I loaded as if we were traveling to Goshen for our 2 month trek just to be sure we are still good to go. We are not and when I can scan the tickets I will walk you through the work up I did. I will re do everything after we get back and find "the culprit."

Here are my tickets and the workups for my very first one in November 2009 and how the camper has "grown" since. All workups were with the camper packed for Florida (2 month trip or more in both hot and cold weather)

Needless to say, we are going on a diet before Goshen. 4 cases of "adult beverages" will be the first to be paired down. Tool and spares box will get looked at again. The 10,000 pound tow chains are also "outa there."

There are a few mods to be done that will add about 100 pounds to the structure and I will re-weigh and do another work up before our July trip.

TT: Surveyor SV-264 (29 ft.)
Weight - unhitched from truck, sitting on scale with leveler hitch, 5,921#

TV: 2011 Ford F-150 Supercab with 5.0 engine, 6-spd tranny, 3.55 axle ratio.

This is nothing special and the F-150 does fine at 65 mph, which is what the tires are rated for anyway... Trailer weight is loaded for a typical 5-day fishing trip to Beaver's Bend in S. E. Oklahoma. I don't buy groceries until we get there and never run with loaded tanks. Just some bedding, clothes, a few toiletries, towels, chairs, Astroturf mats, and the outdoor grille that hangs on the side.
