Info on hitches

new to this so be forgiving. Traded in my tv (toyota) for a 2016 nissan titan xd with the 5.0 diesel. Loved the toyota been driving those for years but the gasser just wasn’t cutting in mountain’s . Anyway to the question i have . I have been unable to find a conversion plate to convert the factory gooseneck hitch to a 5th wheel rail for a slider. Dealer is no help says it’s a nissan hitch and that’s about it. I think it’s a curt but when looking at the conversion plates i can’t find one that matches e-mailed curt with question no answer yet. I haven’t even found brackets for this truck to drill and fasten rails for 5th wheel. Really don’t want to do that , but got to pull before long.
any thought’s on this

I simply use the gooseneck conversion on my 5th wheel. No slide needed.

What about the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection? The people who have used it seem to have a cult-like love of it.

Otherwise, can you contact B&W (another company that I and other have fan-boy love for) and see if they have any options for your truck?

The folks at etrailer.com have always been very helpful to me and usually have what I need in stock and ship quickly.

2016 titan xd converion hitch

THANKS FOR THE REPLY’S E-TRAILER SAYS THEY DON’T MAKE A GOOSENECK TO 5TH WHEEL RAILS PLATE THEY SUGGESTED A# CAB-C5G WHICH WOULD WORK ON A LONG WHEEL BASE TRUCK BUT NOT ON MY SHORT 6’6” BED THE ANDERSON WOULD DO THE SAME THING THE FRAME ON THE TRUCK IS DIFFERENT THAT THE 2015 TITAN SO AFTERMARKET BOLT UP WON’T WORK ON DRILLING AND BOLTING THE RAILS IN .

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere (I'm thinking Trailer Life) that Nissan is to be offering a factory aftermarket gooseneck to 5th wheel rail kit for the OEM gooseneck hitch.

Have you spoke with someone knowledgeable at Nissan other than your dealer?

Titan hitch

I'm with you no sir hadn't got to talk with anyone knowledgeable i even found it in the manual gave part s man page number it was on hadn't got back to me . On his behave these trucks hadn't been out there long but you would think if you were selling a truck and the most important thing was pulling you would have hitches. I'm just saying.

I think you are after the gooseneck hitch version of the Anderson. It clamps directly to your in bed gooseneck ball. Try calling Anderson themselves, I hear they are very helpful

Gooseneck

Ned,
I have a 2014 Wildcat 327ck. Loaded about 1000 lbs. I pull it with a Ram 2500 short bed and have no issues turn up to 90 degrees. I use this conversion to hook to my Gooseneck ball.Works way better on uneven surfaces than 5th wheel hitch.

I think you are wrong. My RV is bigger and heavier. I even have a toolbox in front of bed. Center of B&W gooseneck ball is 5 inches in front of axle and 32 inches behind the back window. But it is your decision.

Congrats on the tow vehicle. Not to change the subject but please keep us posted on the XD performance. Myself in particular would be extremely interested in how things go. Again don't want to hijack the question. Extremely sorry if that happens.
