Looking forward to the thread where his frame is bent and ticked off because FR won't cover his claim.

RPOD hitch

My setup works well. It took a bunch of steel and welding to beef up the existing framework.

What a shame that didn't come with sufficient reinforcement from Lippert. That little piece of flat stock clearly wasn't enough to stop the under-gauged frame from twisting.

Frame or supports wasn't designed to pull a trailer either.

installed a tow hitch

Guess you have to hook something to back to figure where or if you need to reinforce frame. Lol

Not really,F/R WAS putting Warning Label on the rear Bumpers that said (Not to Exceed xxxx lbs) some units had the Warning some Didn't and these were (Identical Units)! When we were at the Factory they Noticed that I had Removed ALL warning label's as well as the (Flagstaff by Forest River) from All (4) sides they said at that time Another one was coming, the Bumper weight Notice! Youroo!!

I think many people do not understand the full meaning of ultra-lite. It not only means that the total weight of the unit is light, but that the frame it is built on is lite( aka not as strong). The end result of this is no matter what kind of fancy hitch you put on the back, the remainder of the RV frame is not designed to carry more weight than on the DOT sticker. The added weight may not break the frame immediately, but over time it most likely will weaken and damage the frame.
