I have an F250 V10 gas and thought about an auxiliary tank, but i have not found any for gasoline, just diesel. Can you get a auxiliary tank for gasoline or is it too flammable?

Looks like Titan has a couple of options. http://titanfueltanks.com/faqs

I had mine set up with the solenoid but found it got too hot for my liking, actually burned my arm. So I switch it to a motorized ball valve and a three possession switch, open, off, closed, no heat buildup.

Why do people assume that if you have an auxiliary fuel tank that your going to drive hours on end without stopping. I have a 60 gal. auxiliary fuel tank, plus the 36 gal. tank that came with the truck. Towing our 5th wheel, I could go almost a 1000 miles without stopping, Do I, hell no, that would be insane. We try to travel no more than 400 miles per day with rest stops in those 400 miles. We refuel mostly without the trailer in tow, do not have to worry whether we can get into the station or not.

I think its more of a choice of when you fill up rather than having to fill up, I do about 300 miles a day and have stops in-between, if I want to go longer I can.

My body says 400 or less but tomorrow it will be 540. A long day but we plan on starting early. I normally drive 63. I can do right many miles but I have to see a rest stop about every 200 miles or else my bladder will explode

My 2017 3500 Sierra came with a 36Gal tank...unfortunately, the2500 that I traded in had a 52Gal replacement tank.....DW said 36 was unacceptable, so I added a 40 Gal Titan auxiliary tank.....now we have some serious range. Now re-fueling after a day's travel isn't necessarily a high priority.

Is the solenoid petroleum rated/explosion proof? If me, I would worry if it weren’t.

I put this one on after experiencing the heat generated by the solenoid one

Hey Captain do you mind explaining how you added bulk head fitting? Was it something that had to be welded in ? Also could you mount it lower to get all of the fuel out of the aux tank ? Id like to mirror what you have done as the EFIlive isnt getting me enough mileage to keep up distance wise with my long bedded buddies . Especially when we make the haul from the left coast to Montana to hunt .

The filler for the fuel cell protrudes through the bottom of the toolbox. My original plan was to extend the filler neck up 10" for easy accessibility, but since I'm rather tall (6'1"), I can reach in without a problem.

The tank is design for top feed with a pick up, return, and vent. I capped the pick up and return then added a filter for the vent.

The bulkhead fitting I used is designed for fuel and has two washers and a nut. Simply drill a hole as close to bottom as possible, install fitting, put washer and nut on inside and screw till tight. To access the inside of fuel cell, I had to remove filler neck, it is held on by 12 bolts.

The pick up tube is about 1/2" from bottom of tank and my bulkhead fitting is slightly higher. I think I could of made it lower to drain more fuel, which I did not do. Measure twice, cut once. Too late now!

WOWZA! @ $3.00+ this summer unless you plan to push it. Don't forget,
Saudi Arabia's budget is shot and they are going to take it out of our hides, and...tanks! Arghhhh...

I left Pigeon Forge TN this morning on a trip to Topeka IN to have some work done on Cedar Creek, diesel was $2.62 a gallon, saw diesel on the way up here for $3.33 a gallon. Diesel here in Topeka $3.09 a gallon. I have enough diesel in my auxiliary tank plus trucks tank to pull camper up here and back to Pigeon Forge and not have to buy any diesel
