Tony, your trailer's UVW(weight when it left the factory) is on a white sticker, usually on the inside of a cabinet door. sometimes it's a cabinet door in the kitchen area but it could be inside a different cabinet door.
you need to use that number to start with.

as you can see, my UVW is 4468lbs. i pull a 23SS that's 24'6" long with an '07 Avalanche, basically the same chassis as your Tahoe, just longer. but i live out west and have numerous mountain ranges to deal with so i like having this length of trailer.
and you need to post the model number. saying it's 27' doesn't help a lot if they made a number of 27' models. and if the model number has a 27 in it, doesn't mean it's 27' long. usually it 2'-3' longer.
