Go to NADA guides and see:

http://www.nadaguides.com/

It kinda seems a little high for a 7-8 year old truck, but I haven't priced trucks in awhile. It could turn out to be low.

No. I just picked up an 05 King Ranch with 58K miles on it for less than 22 a few months ago. Allowing for negotiation it might be an OK deal, but not a good one.

i would stay clear of the 6.0. i got a 2004 with 90k on it and at 102k had to have $3600 worth of work done on it. I also have a friend that bought a 2006 with 50k on it with the 6.0 and his is in the shop with the same repairs for 3k-4k dollars!! The truck is great but i would stay away from the 6.0!!

The 6.0 does have it's issues, but once dealt with, are pretty good. I've already had the privilege of dealing with those repairs (EGR), and I've made sure they won't come back(EGR Delete).

I would say 26 is a little much, given the fact that I'm about to list my 06 250 CC for 22k.

It's a short bed, 4wd, with cover, remote start, aftermarket DVD/backup camera, and only 93k on the clock.

Granted, I'm also not a dealer. But you can certainly find better deals.

Thanks everyone. I bought the truck and got them down several thousand dollars. So we will see what happen. Some people have good luck with them and others didn't.

About a month ago I spent $19,000 on a 2001 F250 extended cab with the 7.3 diesel. That may seem a little high of a price on a 13 yr old truck. The truck only had 26,3xx miles and looks new inside and out. I now have a truck with a very reliable engine that should last me for well over 7 years using it as my daily driver and tow vehicle. It also tows like a beast. I almost got into trouble the first time I towed with it. I almost ran over a curb with my camper because I couldn't tell it was back there. Man I like that truck!

My advice is get a good monitor for that truck or some mechanical gages. I use the edge cts monitor to check my egt, ect, eot and watch ficm voltage. That way I know if a problem is coming before it gets expensive to fix.
