Which RV?
And where do you usually (or likely) go?
Looks like a beast of a truck. But being a gasser, the mileage would be considered differently than if it were a diesel. And the RV weight-class would be more important to know too.

If that's for your Puma, then looks to me like it would work fine.

Since you don't give us any information on your RV, I'd say, sure.... it will be fine.

That is kinda important info.

Sorry, yes it's for my Puma, 32DBKS, about 10,000 lbs. with gear.

Any pros or cons to the flat bed?

The only con to a flat bed I can think of is the difficulty it will be to carry extra stuff in the "bed"

That truck is well suited to your towing needs.

Have fun.

Everything you need for an informed decision is here:

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...FLRVTT_gde.pdf

Looks like all the 2012 F250 supercabs are rated right around 12,000 lbs trailer.

Payload looks like you should be good:

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...Pickups_SB.pdf

As long as you're not over your gvwr on the truck when you're loaded to go, should be fine.

Personally, I'd run the truck over the scale as it is now to know what the curb weight is to get an idea of how much payload capacity you're actually dealing with.. Flatbeds aren't nessesarily lighter than the oem bed.....

One other thing. Check the bed height..a friend has a flat bed and it's way tall for his fifth wheel.

If yours is a fifth wheel.

Is this used truck okay for towing?

Have you looked up the blue book value?

Have you looked at the carfax report?

149,000 miles on a gasser? What was the truck used for, heavy duty service of some kind? That can be a lot of miles on a gasser if it has worked hard.
