Jeep towing problem
When towing my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. I'm having a problem shifting gear box from neutral to 2H after pulling. I follow the owners manual step by step. It just stuck in neutral I shift The transmission to reverse to drive the car back to neutral I get out and push the vehicle back-and-forth and finally it shifts (what's my problem anyone know)😡

Few questions:
Is the engine running when you're doing this?
When you're saying "gearbox," do you mean the trans or transfer case?
Is it a gear-lever shifter or a push-button shifter?
Auto or manual trans?

It's an automatic transmission, the engine is off and it's the transfer box.

Try it with the engine running. It can be hard to shift the t-case if things aren't spinning. Good luck!

Mine does the same. Pull the transfer case lever back toward you into 4 Low (it will go easily). Start the car and put the transmission into gear (probably reverse since presumably you are still parked right behind the motorhome). Move it a couple feet. Shut it off. Switch the transmission back to neutral then the transfer case lever all the way up to 2H. It will go easy.

Don't do this!!!! The Owners Manual states to not shift the transfer case in neutral with the engine running. You will grind your gears in the transfer case. The reason is the Jeep is stationary. This is different than engaging 4LO etc. in Neutral while rolling (around 3mph, per manual) while offroad.
I have a 2016 Unlimited Sport and towed it behind my Ram from Texas to Pensacola, FL and back last weekend.
I had a similar problem when shifting out of Tcase neutral while in Transmission neutral.
I learned to shift out of Neutral when the Jeep is still connected to the Ram. Make sure your parking brake is released (Jeep/TV) (be careful that the Jeep/TV can't roll away of course) You can then push/pull the Jeep slightly with your leg to free up the Tcase shifter.
Sometimes the gears don't mesh when you stop and above worked for me.

It's not so much a problem as it is a minor annoyance IMO. I don't think it would make a difference manual vs. auto as the gear mesh issue comes from the transfer case.
Maybe someone with a manual wrangler toad can chime in?

The owners manual is referring to the transmission being in neutral, not the transfer case. With an automatic, you want to be in park. The park pawl holds the output shaft of the transmission still. In neutral there is enough drag from the oil on the clutches to make the gears spin. This is what causes the gear clash at the transfer case.

Correct, when towing, auto transmission is in Park, manual trans in any gear. When taking transfer case in or out of neutral, transmission should be in Neutral (auto or manual), per manual. Don't think this was OPs question?
Engine running while stationary and trans in neutral, if you try to shift Tcase out of neutral you will grind gears, per manual, engine off during this operation.
