I have a 2013 primetime avenger 26bh. I put everything in front of camper, inside and in underneath front storage. Maybe that's why my tongue weight is at 20 %??? I packed all toward front because I thought only only preventing sway. I do have swaybar.

IMHO, the WDH assembly (excluding spring bars) should be left on the truck during the solo weigh-in to give you a true tongue weight. The WDH shank and head assembly should not be figured as tongue weight, as it is part of the truck. You did good.

I'm at 20% tongue.. So if I moved some of the stuff I packed in front of camper back, like closer to axle, will that help reduce the tongue weight?

Moving anything from the front towards the back will reduce tongue weight. How does your camper pull? If it does fine and you don't have issues, (other than high tongue weight) I'm not sure I would mess with it.

I agree, don't worry about it if it's not causing you any problems.

Debmar, having read all of your posts on this issue I think you are good to go as is. You are now at the point where you just need to go out and tow and let the seat-of-your-pants feel and experience help you refine the setup. Don't get totally caught up in the numbers at this point.

Again, how does it tow? If it tows well and feels good, not sure I would mess with it.

I load a lot of stuff up front, but heavy items like my generator and bottled water/liquids and canned food I try to put over the axles. I would move some of your heavy stuff from the front further back over the axles to reduce your 1200# tongue weight. Your 750# rated bars could be traded in for 1000# bars at your dealer, but as others have said, if it tows well then it will be OK.

Whats the door sticker have as GVW? Whats the driver side door post sticker Payload? Most of the get backs are right on - usually tongue weight is 10% (good idea to read manual about towing and hitch load).
