Maybe edit that first post, too.

I would like too, but the site team has disabled the edit functions.

Maybe the mods could change the thread tittle.

You can only edit for a certain length of time. After that, the post is locked in...

I get that. Just found it slightly odd that I could be WAY over with a 2500 but it wouldn't matter, but if I have a 3500 they weigh me and make sure I'm under.

So according to this Kenny https://www.mpi.mb.ca/en/PDFs/TrailerSafety.pdf you need a commercial licence to tow a trailer over 10000 lbs in Manitoba. That is a lot lower than most places. Don't want to get off topic but it shows that Manitoba is a lot stricter than other places on weights.

This.

The scale I used is for grain hauler trailers.

I will try to hit a cat scale next time I am in the city.

Yup.
Class 3 license. Which includes tandem trucks and trailers over 10k.
Trucks over 10k need commercial safety inspections yearly.
Included my last ram 2500.

I just looked at Ontario and it is the same 10,410 lbs. I wonder how many people with the large 5th wheels know they are not legal. I bet the dealers don't tell people this when they buy them.
