You could swap the Smart Car and stack a couple sleds for your snowmobile trips. All the toys.

That would be true if we still owned any sleds, not enough snow here to make owning one worth it. Besides the sleds probably have more horsepower then the Smart.

Here's a pic of mine and some engine work I just completed.
New up-pipes to turbo, new Riffraff turbo wheel, rebuild the turbo pedestal, new Afe intake, new Riffraff intercooler boots, new transmission cooler 3.77 time the size of the original cooler, new cold air intake filter, inlet air heater delete, and some other things I can't think of right now.

So what was the reason for the upgrades and what is the end benefit performance-wise?

I just did similar upgrades on my duramax.

Mpg went up from 17-18 mpg to 21 mpg.

Towing mode adds 30 hp over stock.

Lower egt's

Dpf filter delete.
Catalytic converter delete.
Egr delete.

Efi live tuned

Optimized stock
30 hp on heavy tow
60 hp on light tow
90 hp Economy towing
120 hp street
