Smile My "New" 2000 Ford Excursion

Here he is! We had to replace poor old Clifford, as he just had a heck of a time pulling our 2010 Salem LE 30QBSS.

New Excursion has the 7.3 liter PowerStroke Diesel, 3.73 rear end gears, and we just replaced the transmission with a heavy duty rebuilt just for towing unit from Certified Transmissions.

180,000 miles so far, but we bought it with 172,000

Have yet to have a chance to actually tow the trailer with it though...bought it in January...been to busy to camp so far this year.

Here's our latest and greatest. 2005 F350 crew dually diesel 4x4, 106,800 miles. Towed for the first time today, what a dream. I have the ScanGaugeII hooked up to monitor the 6.0 and everything is in check. I'm liking the integrated brake controller. Can't wait to tow the 5er. Going from a 1987 F350 upto this is a huge improvement. And no, I'm not worried about the 6.0, being a mechanic helps a lot.

Nice Len. What a great score! Hard to tell for sure, is that the 6.4L diesel? That's a nice looking truck. I had only seen it in the Forest Green before.

Don't forget to update your signature!

Thanks Ed. Yes, it's a 6.4L, I can't believe I forgot to include that It's funny, I always wonder to myself why people don't update their sig's when they get something new and here and here I do the same thing.

No worries Len. You're gonna love that 6.4L. Be sure and stick to the maintenance and it should do you very good. I loved mine, and miss the long bed and the dual zone climate control (I had an '08). But I was able to get into a 2011, so I jumped on it.

Anyway, enjoy!
