been a while, finally got the chance to pull the ol XLR on a half decent trip a while back!

Couldnt be more pleased, the chum wagon pulled it perfectly fine. Didnt get too carried away with the speed, kept it around 100km/h speed limit (60mph), and averaged 24l/100km (9.8mpg)

i should have hit a scale along the way, not entirely sure what the GVW was, but it was definitely over 18k on the trailer (dry tanks, but a 950lb quad, 72" toolbox FULL, and pretty much everything i own minus my sled). their was a few decent hills on the way, i wouldnt have wanted any more weight or i wouldnt have been able to hold my speed going up the long 8% grades LOL

2009 GMC Sierra 1500 pulls are Salem 26bhxl really well! It has the integrated brake controller and I added tow mirrors and a 40k transmission cooler. Mainly because I didn't like the transmission temps I was getting while pulling long hills.

Finally put Roscoe out to pasture yesterday and picked up a 2013 Silverado 2500 LTZ Duramax with just 28k miles.
The previous owner was a fellow RV'er who performed the maintenance like clockwork (no surprise there ) and kept every receipt.
It came with a 5th wheel hitch but it's now tucked away in the shop in the event we move up to a 5th wheel.

2015 Chevy 2500 Duramax LTZ. Have not towed anywhere but in and out of the driveway to test the WD but have a trip coming up soon to western PA so looking forward to this new ride!

Very nice, but I am little biased ... lol. We love ours and will love it more when I upgrade to the new power-fold camper mirrors.

We updated our tow truck last week. We went from our old 2001 F350 7.3L to the new 2015 Ram 4x4 with 6.7L diesel coupled with the Aisin tranny and 3.73 axle giving us a GVWR 32,300. The truck rides smooth empty and smooth Loaded with our Columbus at 18K. 11.5 MPG on our trip this last weekend. Barely knew the 5er was back there.

F350 is Toby approved.

As you can see, the 150 was overloaded. Click image for larger version
