Couldn't agree more! Never could get my head wrapped around the Chevy thing.

Just bought her yesterday.... she's a little dirty from driving home in pouring down rain but still a nice truck. 2014 chevy Silverado 3500 4x4 with Duramax engine and Allison transmission. Can't wait to finish breaking her in and start towing. No more questions of can I tow the Sabre we want. Yes we can!

Thanks. That's ok, QCCowboy. I traded an F250 for it. Much happier with this truck. The F250 I had was one of the weakest diesels I had seen, in fact I won best over how low the payload was on it. I also had reliability issues with it. The only thing I will miss about the ford is my heated seats and back up sensors. Otherwise this chevy wins hands down.

Picked it up about a week ago. 2014 Ram Laramie, 6'4" bed, 6.4l Hemi. Only have about 100 miles on it, but hopefully it will be ready for Mother's Day weekend. Also have to still set up WDH.

I test drove the 5.7 and 6.4 back to back. Did not like the 5.7 at all. If Ram only had the 5.7, I would have bought a different brand (probably 2015 GM with 6.0). The power on the 6.4 comes on at a much lower RPM (perceived or real), than the 5.7, also much smoother and supposedly, better mpg's.

What year F-250 did you have and what diesel engine?

I had a 5.7 hemi it was a decent truck but I wasn't impressed with the power or the handling while towing.

09 f250 w/ 6.4 smoked like a chimney during regent (never could find a reason or solution), tranny jumping at times, high pitch whine at times when turned on and at low speeds, vibration thru gas pedal when towing sometimes, driving at highway speed I would have a sudden brief loss of power. None of these intermittent issues could ever be found or replicated by dealership, no codes. They did replace two batteries and a rear axle seal for me last month. I finally had enough. It towed my tt like it wasn't even there though.

Autorot8, nice looking ram. We almost bought a Cummins but the price wasn't right.

Did you drive a 6.7 at all? I never did hear a lot of good about the 6.0 or 6.4 but I do love my 6.7 it has been a great truck. I just hope that it will have the longevity of the 7.3.

No, I know too many on rv.net and FTE that have had major issues with the 6.7 and ford trying to Welch on the warranty. But let's let this thread get back on track with pics.
