[QUOTE=BrianSF-GA;573400]2015 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax/Allison LTZ/Z71 at the hotel on the way home from the dealer .... yep, traded the 2013 Ford F250 Power Stroke Lariat ... !

Nice ride. I switched from a Ford back in '11 when GM came out with new frame , suspension and LML Duramax. I also buy what I think is the best model at the time.
I also work in the oil patch and have beat up and over loaded all 3 makes of HD oil burners in the last 4 years or so. The Chevy's do very well. Congrats on the new truck , I'll be getting a '15 dually this year. 😃

With a pallet of lump charcoal. I haven't had a chance to tow the camper with it yet but I'm pretty excited. It's all deleted and seems to have tons of power.

My 2013 is the third 5.7 I've had. I find they have ample towing power but they almost have to be screaming to get it. Thing is they sure sound nice when they are making power. I debated getting a 6.4 but there were none available in my area at the time and there were also alot of new changes to the 2014's ,engine included,that I wanted to see proven before I got one.

I ended up trading it for a 2012 Powerstroke. I would have went with a Cummins if they still had the 5.9. I just liked the Ford better at the time.

... thanks. I liked the Ford, but, I really love this. One is not really better than the other, just different and this one fits in the garage which was my goal. It is approaching 800 miles now, but 580 of those miles was bringing it home from the dealer.

Thanks. Tinted the front windows, black nerf bars, and a black tonneau cover installed. I am happy!

Thats a nice rig right there!
I hear those volvo automatics are the bomb for hauling. Never used one, just 10 speed slush boxes, but auto would be cool!

Just picked up our 2015 2500HD Silverado last Friday

Hooked her up to check lights and brakes. Pulling out tomorrow for Illinois. Going over for the Moonshine Lunch Run on Saturday.

I guess I'll be the odd man out here, the one without a "new" truck. In 07 I got bored, my shop was empty so I filled it with a project. I bougth a 2003 GMC Sierra CC/SB HD DMAX ALLI wrecked off of eBay;

I sepent (6) months working on it, my son and I did 90% of the work, we subbed out the frame / rocker / "B" pillar / and driver side door alignment.

Pics of the finished product;

It went back on the road in 2008, it is my daily driver and will pull our 34RL Work & Play to the races. In the (4) years I have been driving it I have become very familiar with the LB7 Dmax. I did replace the injectors (1) time, other than the occasional wheel bearing, it is a bullet proof truck.
It has over 300,000 miles on it now, and I have no plans to replace it.
