The Afe Bladerunner intake manifold ($369) provides lower EGT's, improved MPG and faster turbo spool up times, which outflows the factory manifold unit by 18%, the Riffraff turbo wheel ($195) provides anti-surge and a 5 to 7 pound gain in boost pressure along with an average of 17.4 hp and 38.7tq gain on stock injectors. I'm seeing a very fast spool up of my turbo now and I don't have any more surge issues that I used to have. The new turbo up-pipes ($250) on my truck were worn out and leaking badly so I replaced those which will also help regain my boost press. and lower my exhaust gas temps., the factory intercooler boots were worn out and leaking turbo boost so the new Riffraff CAC blue intercooler boots ($128) were installed along with RDP Plenum Reinforcing Inserts ($39) to keep from crushing the intake collars when torquing the clamps down on the boots. While I had the turbo off I rebuilt the turbo pedestal EBPV (exhaust back pressure valve) because it had 133,000 miles on it and replace upper and lower pedestal o-rings also. The new Riffraff cold air intake ($87) just lets the motor get all the air it wants and filters the intake air very well at the same time and looks cool also. I replaced the altenator ($200) because the main wire was cooking off at the altenator and didn't want any failures from it on the road, just a little insurance. The larger transmissioin cooler ($250) was needed because Ford undersized the tranny cooler for towing these large loads pushing GVWR's so I installed the tranny cooler that goes in the 6.0L engine which is 3.77 times larger. Before the larger cooler install my tranny temp hit 228 deg. this summer a couple times which isn't good and now after the install of the larger cooler and towing up and down hills I haven't seen the temp get over 184 deg. on the tranny. Unloaded the temp stays at 138 to 140 deg. Just did the upgrades to the old truck so he can tow this 16,000 pounds of toys down the road without any issues. My 5er toy hauler is 13K empty and loaded with our things and a Canam Commander 1000 in the back its about 16K lbs. My next mod is to add a 5th wheel safety latch incase the pin latch ever comes loose the 5er won't come off the truck and do any damage, just another insurance policy. I've never had any issues in that department and I don't want to either and for $85 with shipping it is a cheep insuance policy. I'm ordering it today. Hope that helps with the benifits I installed. It did make a big difference towing our last time out, it stayed alot cooler, had more power and seemed like a rejuvenated truck all around proformance wise. I think I also will be replacing the fuel injectors one of these days with some stage 2 injectors but I'm happy with the old trucks performance for now with these upgrades. This project took me about 30 to 40 hours of my time because I went a little slow and did some other things along the way while I had it all apart like cleaning the fuel return valve and putting in a new fuel pressure spring in it to keep the fuel pressure between 62 to 65 lbs., cleaned the fuel filter housing and installed all new o-rings in it, dropped the fuel tank and removed the fuel sending unit and cleaned the strainers and reinstalled. They were pretty dirty. It was well worth my time since owning this truck new and never having to do a thing to it except regular maintanence items. Feels like a new truck again!!!

Sounds good f1100turbo.
I also did the intake air heater delete and already had put on a 4" stainless exhaust years ago. I have the Edge Evolution tunes I just keep it on stage one safety tow of 60HP. I have a new Garrett turbo non-EBPV pedestal but didn't put it on because I forgot to order the Garrett high flow outlet. I did calibrate the EBPV after rebuilding it and the turbo waste gate during reassembly. I haven't checked my mileage because all I do with the truck is tow and it gets 9 to 10.5 depending on the hills, I have a Ford Fusion I drive for a dayly driver it gets 30mpg. I'll have to check my trucks fuel mileage now with these up grades and see if its any better but even if its a 1/2mpg better I'd be supprised. LOL

I'm also at 4" from down pipe to the muffler.
I left the stock muffler and tailpipe for noise considerations.
I'm leary of deleting heater as I live in a cold climate.

I hear you, here in Texas we don't have much winter so I didn't mind doing the intake air delete and leaving in the EBPV helps to warm up the engine and my truck uses it in the colder days to warm up so I didn't mind just rebuilding it that way my truck can still warm up without sitting there forever to do it. What truck do you have?

Mine has a 12' garage we upgraded to this Toy Hauler so we don't have to take the TT with one truck and the Canam 1000 with the other truck. With only one truck in use we are still saving fuel expense with only running one truck. We love it and its alot easier and faster than all our other trips have been loading and unloading stuff. I still like the grab a beer and hit the auto level button and watch as it does its thing. LOL
