The only thing that could make that Power Wagon better, was if it was orange, and your last name was Simon.

I am not sure which is the new "rig", the Yukon or the Aviator, but the Yukon is way not rated to tow your Aviator.

Have you checked the ratings of your specific Yukon? Those Aviator's are 10,000#+ GVWR trailers ... the Yukon XL's maximum towing capacity is around 8,000# depending on the specs. Maybe you have a different model Aviator than what I am thinking, but you may want to check the trailer's "yellow" sticker and do the math against the Yukon's max tow capacity, hitch weight, max cargo weight and GCVWR. These can be found in your owner's manual. Remember that your hitch weight loaded is added to your overall cargo weight and the GVWR of your trailer is added to your loaded Yukon's weight to get your GCVW.

Rated to tow has nothing to do with tranny temps or horsepower. Rated to tow has to do with frame, suspension, steering and brakes ... don't let the tail wag the dog. Some do choose to ignore ratings and, if are one of those, I hope you carry a high limit umbrella policy. If you are ever in an accident, whether it was your fault or not, you will pay if you are towing beyond your vehicles ratings.

Aviator is 6850 dry
I fully understand added weight inside trailer and vehicle for gross combined weight
I figure about 7500# trailer weight as I usually do not carry water tanks loaded
