Yes, you're right. The material is pretty easy to cut with an X-acto knife.

I have had both of the spray in liners discussed here and I have had and currently have the Bed Rug. The Line-X was better imo than the Rhino liner. However, for what I use the bed for, just normal home type jobs, hauling lumber, furniture, blocks, etc. I like the Bed Rug better, I can slide in furniture for example without scratching it or having to use a pad. Also, if you have to climb in the back on your knees, the Bed Rug us padded. Just wanted to share my experiences.

I purchased my truck used. The previous owner had a bed liner that was removed and it indeed created scuffs and scrapes that showed as gray marks on the black bed. However, with the bed being aluminum, I'm not too worried about rust.

I covered the bed from the elements (Revolver X4) and have a Bed Mat XL on the deck. Some gray still shows on the sides, but that's the "business end" of the truck anyway.

The Bed Mat has worked out well. As previously stated, it cleans-off with a hose, helps limit the sliding of cargo and is easy on the knees. The full-coverage Bed Rug was a real option, but I decided to cheap-out and just go with the Mat.

Line X. On my third truck with it, great stuff and won't have another truck without a spray in liner. GM does it now too.

LineX

Have had LineX on my truck for five years. I paid extra to get the upgrade and my bed still shines like new.
Really pleased with it and money well spent.
Good luck.

I too loved my BedRug. I put one in one truck and when I got a new one I put one in there too. My current truck came factory lined so didn't need one. But I'd go back to a BedRug on any trucks I get in the future. I hauled filthy quads in my bed without issue. Just hose it out when you need it clean.

Line-X two different trucks. Love it. Not sure about the hitch rails. Just got it sprayed a couple months ago in my 2018 2500 HD Silverado. Had it done in my 2015 1500 Silverado and had tools in the back all the time. I always did have a tonneau cover on though. Hardly anywhere after 3 years. I would do it again

Line-x

2014 3500hd Silverado. Line-x replaced a drop in liner. Cleaned the whole look of the truck up. Paid for the extra top coat. Gloss look. I’m totally pleased with it.

We’ve had our LineX liner for a couple of years, and while we’ve managed to scuff up the paint on the rails, the liner looks new.

Have you looked at ArmorThane? I have had good service from 2 ArmorThane applied vehicles and we had some equipment skids coated at work and they are holding up very well too.

Linex! About 12 years in the bed, 8 on the front (ranch hand bumper) and 2 on the rear ranch hand. Done in 3 different states and all look great. Btw formula 303 keeps them looking new!!

I'd love to have the entire underside of our TT done with Line-X.

Truck came with the factory plastic bed liner, which made it a week, before being donated to a charity. LineX put on, and after 3 years, still looks new.

I have line x but had a problem sliding things in. I found an old drop in liner and cut out the bottom and put that on the bottom of the bed. Everything slides in and just pulls out to clean under.

What he said!! My line X in my 2004 silverado looked great when I sold it in 2017.

My Titan has a factory sprayed in liner which is OK but the tail gate is hard slick plastic covered and I'm thinking of removing it and getting it sprayed as well.
Why they thought putting a slick liner on the place I stand the most was a good idea....??

Bed Liner

Hi i have Rhino spray liner in my truck that i had done 6 years ago. They did a great job. It has lasted very well over the years with no defects. I think the detail work is based on who does the work. Both cost about the same, both overall are very good to have. So you will have to review the workmanship of both and decide.
