Every truck I found was a 4x4 diesel talk about pushing to make money they got the bait out. At about a $2600 option for 4x4 and then all the other add on no wounder trucks pushing 65 grand. No thank you. Just for kicks I went to the two sites and built my 3/4 tons and priced out at around @49,000 lot better and I get WHAT i want. Anyway it was fun playing till I get ready to order a new one. Later RJD
It seems you prefer a 2wd truck. Me too, but we are in the minority Im afraid.

I just don't want to pay money for something I will just have to spend more money maintaining and not use. Besides, my payload is better becasue I don't have all that extra metal in front.

Thanks. Looking forward to the new adventure in the Ram. For my requirements for towing a diesel was not practical. Later RJD

Maybe I may have missed in the thread but you ordered a 2018 ? Is there any difference between the 2017 model other then the price increasing ? When I was out looking for a new truck your right the dealers had plenty of 60-70K 3/4 ton trucks on the lot but no one is paying that.

My deal was alittle over 20% off the sticker of 60K to get it down to 48K with a seven year 75K Dodge extended warranty thrown in. I bought a diesel so I thought it was a good idea

I have never ordered a car or truck so I really don't know how much negotiating room there is when you do a special order my understand from the dealers were they would give you a better deal on something on the lot and my take is if I can get more options /features and not pay for it that's all the better.

The 18 I ordered has the new Ram grill in it which was only available on the limited truck. Now as option on Big Horn. Looks nice. Also the Chevy and Dodge new body style for HD will not be available till 2020. Ordering the Dodge will provide me with a new look with the optional front grill. Getting a Chevy would have been no change.

I always order my truck as I do not want all the options the dealers put on the trucks and jacks up the price. This is where they make there money. Besides all the more to go wrong. The one option I was after and not seen on trucks on the lot was auto level rear suspension.
As far as price increase on 18 did not really see a difference. Later RJD

Congrats on your new TV. Hope you get all you are looking for.

Personally I like Dodge/Ram pick-ups. They used to have the best driveline made. Who knows anymore.

Hi RJD....Give us more details ...What Color ? Did you go with the stock wheels ? 8.4 U Connect Screen ? Bench Seat or did you go with the buckets with the console ?

Don't the 2018's come with Apple Car Play and Android Auto ? I wish my 2015 had that I have the navigation but it's pretty much useless here in the Charlotte, NC area there are alot of roads not on it and supposedly I have the latest version so the local RAM dealer tells me

I ordered the truck in Brilliant black and the optional black wheels. I did get the 8.4 screen but with out Nav. I love there nav but on the truck it was more expensive than when I got it on my 2016 Charger. One thing to remember with nav and there up grade which I consider a waste of time and money as it only will put in new roads but not update old roads.
Yes the new truck comes with apple car play and got the bench seats as I'm also tired of bucket seats this old stuff anymore also Leather seats. (dealer install) I also ordered the air ride suspension we see how that works. It's also equip with 6.4 Hemi 2w drive and body color sport grill. Later RJD
