March issue Trailer Life Mag

Just got march issue. It has several reviews on topics of frequent discussion on this forum. This issue is the first to include the Highways magazine.
Good articles on setting up a tow vehicle, antenna and satellite systems, Tundra and more. Enjoy.

I got one issue and realized it was little more than a Good Sam advertisement. Very disappointing. Oh well. The LexCorp of the RV world... LOL!

I thought there were some excellent articles in the March edition of Trailer Life. For any newbie the article on setting up your tow vehicle for towing was very informative. I also enjoyed the “What’s New for 2014” section. The Spring Flings and Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta articles were interesting too. To each his own I guess.

I must disagree with BigBaron.... while it seems that almost all magazines
these days are 80-90% advertising there is still a little meat on the bones.

The Feb issue of Trailer Life had a great article about Lost Dutchman SP
in AZ and every issue has a nice little piece on the back page about
somewhere or other. The letters are usually interesting to me as well
as the Action Line.

So yes- there are LOTs of ads. Lots. But there's enough good reading
in there to keep me interested.
Side note- I subscribed for a year using an online coupon for just a few
bucks. When the year ran out I ignored their "last issue" warnings and
I'm still getting the magazine.
In today's world magazines rely on subscriber numbers to generate ad
revenue so many of them will send you free issues just to keep their
numbers up.
In this case, if it stops coming, I will probably re-up.

Follow up- I haven't got March yet. Maybe they've finally shut me off

Are you talking about the old Highways Magazine?

To catch everyone up, Highways magazine has been discontinued. Good Sam members used to get it with membership. Now, Highways is supposedly included in the Trailer Life mag once a quarter. March is the first one with Highways. While the mag has some good stuff, the Highways portion within was 10 sheets, mostly advertising good Sam benefits. Very disappointing. Being a lifetime member I'm feeling cheated in that I was to get 10 mags per year and now only 4. I subscribe to Trailer Life so I pay for it and Highways is pretty much non existent in it. What a rip off.
