With the camper pkg on the 250 the blocks are the same. With the 11,5000 pkg on the 350 you will notice a difference.

Oddly enough my dealer was very straightforward with me. Asked what I had, we looked it up, then asked if I knew how much I tended to carry since I was experienced, which I did.

We did the math, he's the one that told me I would be slightly over on payload but have a decent margin everywhere else. I was impressed with his honesty.

Nope. I have an F250 with the camper package. It has 2" blocks... and the overload spring.

I have seen F250's with 4" blocks. I haven't figured out the trick, but I think it has to do with the snow plow prep... which makes no sense to me.

The 11,500 GVWR on the F350 is the "normal" setup... meaning the lower de-rated GVWR option was not ordered. All of which have the same springs. There literally is no difference between them other than stickers and blocks.

Not saying a 250 is better. I flip back and forth between wanting a higher back.

The price difference doesn't justify the 250 in my eyes though. For me, it was what was on the lot. Didn't have time or want to order a gasser 350 SRW. That combo never shows up around here. Since they are the same, I didn't sweat it.

My F250 has 4" blocks and it does have the plow package with a GVWR of 10,000 lbs.

My neighbor and I have the exact same truck, mine is a 250, his a 350, both crew cab 4wd short bed Lariats. Only difference is he has the FX4 package and I don't. His rear springs have 1 extra leaf than mine, otherwise, it's the same. My GVWR in 10000, his is 11500. As I posted earlier, his total payload is around 1500 lbs higher than mine, as is the max rear axle weight.

This is where a diesel hurts towing....even though it will tow way better, you lose payload capability due to the extra weight.

My 2016 F250 diesel had the 4" blocks and no snow pkg. A payload of 2247 was too low for the new 5er.
