Mileage on Travel Trailer... just discovered..

Maybe everyone that owns a RAM knows this, but I just discovered it. On my Ram when you're in the setup menu on the gain adjustment for the electric trailer brakes and pushed the up arrow on the steering wheel, it takes you to a screen that shows the mileage that was driven while the trailer was connected. Sorry for this post if this is common knowledge, but it just amazed me..

Ford has that also. It sure is a neat thing. Not absolutely necessary, but nice to know anyway.

Cool-I'll check my Chevy 3500 to see if it has that as well!

Yes my Ford F-150 has that feature as well. I have set mine to track my TT as well as the utility trailer. It detects which one is connected when I hook up the lights.

How do you check for this feature or set it to record tow miles? I have a 2010 Ford F150 Lariat Crew Cab. Never seen this feature or heard of it before.

I have a 2012 F 150, Fx 4x4 with tow package. On the center of the instrument panel I have a digital display, it gives a variety of information such as trip information, fuel used, tranny temperature etc. In there I have a setting for resetting oil reminder and there is another one for trailers. I can add different trls and name them. When I connect to my Travel Trl it automatically detects that trl. On my utility trl it detects that as well. I assume because I'm using 4 pin for utility trl and 7 pin for my Coachmen it senses the different connection. It displays on my instrument cluster the trl and trl gain and if connected properly.
Nice feature!

I think they added the little 4" LCD screen on the instrument panel in 2011 so I think you might not have that on the 2010.

Mine has it and it's great to track the mileage on the trailer for tire and wheel bearing maintenance or replacement.

Yep, it's pretty nice. Ford knows which trailer you are pulling and sets the gain where you had it for that trailer and tracks the miles.

So, mine is a 2010 F150 and it is equipped with the Optional Message Center, pressing Info cycles through all the features including TBC Gain and Trailer Sway. So it is equipped for those features. However I do not see a feature to count miles when a trailer is connected. I guess I do not have it :-(
