Which Ford are you asking about?
150, 250, 350, 450?

They do have the optional extending Mirrors for the F150. You may be able to get the dealer to order them for the truck you trade up to. Make a deal and have him install them as well.

I’m not sure as to the package but I see many F150’s with the same mirrors as F250-350.

Manual telescoping are an option on the XL and XLT. The power scope mirrors are options on the Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum.

Would think you could have them installed by the dealer on a truck currently on the lot as swmelton has said.

I purchased clip on mirrors for my truck, and they worked okay for towing. But it wasn’t what I wanted. (By the way, make me an offer.)

I saw the trailer tow mirrors from 1A Auto, and waited months for them to come in stock. I ordered them as soon as they were available. Installing them was a snap, less than 1/2 hour for both.

They are manual extend and retract, and have all the functions I had on my original mirrors save one. They have power adjusting, power fold, BLIS indicators, puddle lights, heated for both mirrors, and side spotlight. The only function that my factory mirrors had that these don’t is auto dimming on the driver’s side.

Overall, I am VERY pleased with them.

1A Auto has the most popular aftermarket Tow Mirrors for F150s. The features, look, and feel approach the OEM. There are many different versions, though, so you have to make sure that you're looking at/ordering the right configuration. Or, you could call your Ford dealer and get the OEMs that you like.

If you're ordering the Ford then the factory tow mirrors can be found on the build list, it's just difficult to find. My dad ordered a new F150 and they couldn't find that option to select and the truck wound up not coming with them. He ordered the factory mirrors from Ford and installed then himself. From what I understand, Ford stopped offering them as part of the tow package because everyone thought they were ugly and wanted the standard mirrors.

Gearhead, You're probably right because most PU truck owners never tow anything...

if my F150 XLT came with power extension mirrors I'm sure I would like them, but, wow an extra $500, for a set, that does nothing more than my $20 clip on extension mirrors do, just seems like a bit much, ... was using CIPA mirrors on my 2002 F150, when I bought the 2015 F150 in 2015, Cipa had not designed a model to fit the new trucks, after a lot of research, settled on the universal clip on shown in link below, .... very sturdy, easy and quick to install, and DW can/does remove them while I'm unhooking, ... the CIPA's were good, but these are great, .... with the savings, I'll buy something else for the tt, that I just can't live without, ..... happy trailering ...

While $20 clip on mirrors can get you by (and they did for me a few times) the power/memory mirrors are so much better.

Better field of view, less vibration, easy adjustment from the comfort of your seat, easy folding for tight places and the ability to recall a pre-set position with the push of a button.

Creature comforts cost money. It's all about where you want to spend it.
To each their own.

I had clip on's back in the day and hated them. I couldn't stand seeing so many mirrors in my field of vision. It was like looking in a fun house mirror. As said, to each their own.

I have used CIPAs on both my trucks and am quite satisfied with them.
Can't justify spending over $500 for something I use infrequently.

If you want the factory mirrors just talk to your dealers parts department, they can order them.

I don't know for certain, but I understood that the cab itself is the same on the f150 as it is on the 250 and up. I have a 250 and my mirrors extend. Why couldn't you bolt the 250-350 mirrors onto your little F150 if there cabs are the same? Probably bolt right on. Bigger mirror too.
